Did you know that the dryer vents in your home can be a fire hazard if not taken care of properly! Dryer fires are unfortunately common. To prevent this type of fire from happening it is important to take some precautions

  • Clean out the lint trap after each load
  • Make sure if there is any damage to the dryer it is looked at by a professional
  • Clean out dryer vents regularly or check for clogs
  • Clean out air ducts and check for clogs
  • Make sure the dryer is hooked up to the appropriate electrical outlet (having a dryer hooked up to a socket with not enough volts can cause electrical fires)
  • Check your pockets to make sure nothing flammable or hazardous get in the dryer

These simple preventative actions can save you a great deal of grief.
